I was fortunate to have Mr.Lamah perform surgery to repair my inguinal hernia. He is the ultimate professional and from the first consultation I had every faith in him. On the day of my procedure at the Montefiore Hospital in Hove I was taken to my room and Mr.Lamah came to see me and once again put me(and my partner) at ease. After my surgery I was taken great care of by the amazing team in The Regency Suite, I had a few issues post op but everything was taken care of brilliantly. Having seen the sight of surgery and the wound I can only say Mr. Lamah is a first class surgeon. I have been fortunate to have this treatment on the NHS With Thanks to the whole team, Nursing staff of all levels, the staff who fed me and the cleaners who keep everywhere spotless and the lady on reception who organized my cab home. Kind Regards , A.Lane.

Excellent service and follow up. No fuss but thorough and clear. Supported by an excellent team. I was impressed by the attention and felt supported throughout. I look forward to five years of follow up, to monitor my progress.

I needed help to rectify a “blunder” from another surgeon. Having had 3 operations and was left with the problem still unresolved I saw Mr Lamah. He was to the point and made sure I understood exactly what the problem was and what needed to be done. His surgical skills are nothing short of brilliant. He corrected the problem. His after care was top rate. I felt completely safe in his hands and will be grateful to him for the rest of my life. I would like to add that I did transfer from NHS Brighton to private care as the waiting times are so long, and, unreliable. Operations can be cancelled at the last minute as beds are hard to get.

Dr Lamah has done two of my surgeries now. Unfortunately both times I’ve experienced complications. His people skills are slightly lacking at times and his responses can be almost robotic, he doesn’t know how to deal with emotion as I found out when I was upset during an appointment. The wait times are very long for his surgery list and both times I’ve waited over 7 months then had very little notice as spaces open up at short notice. But I have to say he has been the best consultant at making sure I have appointments, tests and follow ups as before under others they lacked this. He is good at talking through options and sometimes his direct attitude is easier to take in when he is explaining what they are.

I was seen by Mr Lamar after being admitted by another consultant who recommended a scan and various other procedures. He said I needed none of these and said I would be discharged the following day. I had a scan in spite of this and have been diagnosed with terminal cancer. He was brusque and very rude and I was thankful that he was not my surgeon!
